TOPS
| Covered Bras
I can make these in various styles, w/ or w/o trim, beads, tassels, drapes, etc. From simple and elegant to elaborately decorated; from cabaret to tribal. Click here for more images. |
S2941 Bra Top
I would recommend this top only for smaller busted dancers. Your back is entirely bare except for a single tie under the bustline. I find an elastic with bra hooks to be the most secure and supportive vs simple ties, but I will make whichever you prefer. This top looks very nice under both our vests. Trim, tassels, beads, etc can be added to this as well. |
S2941 Vest
This is a nice vest to layer over another top. It comes to a point in the back like most Turkish vests do. The type of fabric and trim you choose can make it more tribal or more cabaret. Shown here with bra top S2941. |
S4484 Keyhole Vest
This vest is an excellent way to showcase your bra, especially one whose back and/or straps are not finished. It has a zipper in the back, although I can modify the pattern to a front closure, if you prefer. |

| S4484 Off the Shoulder Peasant Blouse, Short
Sleeves
This is one off-the-shoulder pattern that will actually stay off the shoulder even when you move, and still allows for full range of arm motion. It looks nice underneath our keyhole vest, and both bodice patterns. |
S4484 Off the shoulder Peasant Blouse,
Long-Sleeves
This is the long sleeve version. It's sleeves are split in the middle, revealing a glimpse of your arm. Looks good on its own. It also looks nice underneath our coat. Great for Ren Fairs and SCA events. |
M4994A Double Front Panel Sleeveless Top
This is another versatile top which can be worn on its own, or with a peasant blouse. Can double for bellydancing or Ren fairs. I can make this top with grommets to lace up the front or any other type of front closures. |
M4994C Bodice
This is the full-length version of M4994A. Obviously better suited for SCA events and Ren fairs. The pattern doesn't call for it, but I can easily stiffen this bodice up with canvas (lined on the inside of course!) if you want it to give you more shape and support like a real bodice should. |

| S5359C Sleeveless Top
This top has a front closure. It's exactly the same as S5359A, except it has no sleeves. |
S5359A Choli Top
I modified the original pattern by adding gussets, to give you the full range of motion with your arms. The front closure is nice, so you can dress yourself, unlike some cholis which lace in the back. If a front closure makes you nervous, I can alter the pattern to be an open back with laces. Any kind of sleeves could be added. |
S4249 Choli Top
This top has a back zipper. I like the sweetheart neckline and the curve of the beads. You can wear a normal bra under it without fear of it showing. I can make this top sleeveless, with short sleeves, or long sleeves. The pattern calls for the long sleeves to be fitted, but I can make nearly any sleeve variation you'd like. Again, if you'd prefer an open back with laces instead of a zipper, I can always do that too. |
S4249 Variant A Choli Top
This is the same top as S4249 except it doesn't have the under the breast band that one does. It does give you a longer-looking torso, but your bra may show. I offer it mostly for any local dancers who can come and be fitted. I needed to add at least four darts to prevent it from riding up and showing bottom cleavage when I raised my arms. With the zipper in the back, I can't guarantee an exact fit on this one w/o an actual fitting (in person). What I can do is make it an open back with laces, and then you can lace it up like a regular choli; you'll get a snug and secure fit that way. |
| Shrug
The fabric you choose should be somewhat stretchy, otherwise your arm movement will be restricted. I liked the sheer look over a belly dance bra. However, you could pick something like crushed panne for this too. |
