Welcome to the Garment Goddess. All the clothing is hand made to your specifications. The Garment Goddess specializes in belly dance costumes, but many of the outfits would look great at your local Renaissance Fairs, SCA events, and you'd be unique at any Halloween party.
As the Garment Goddess herself is a dancer, she understands your special needs: a quality costume that is comfortable, affordable, and durable. Before she sells any new designs, she tries them herself for these very qualities. She can modify most designs to fit your body type, modesty level, and your own brand of style.
How does it work? Just email me at thegarmentgoddess@yahoo.com, and include your name, a contact number if you prefer to continue discussions via the phone, your measurements, what products and/or designs you want, what colors/fabrics/trim etc you'd like, or your own sketches of what you have in mind. And, of course, anything else you think might be relevant. I check email daily, so you'll receive a speedy response. Please be patient as it may take several back-and-forth emails to ensure you get exactly what you want.
Because everything is custom-made, please allow for up to 2 weeks for your order to be completed. If you are ordering multiple items, or an especially complicated costume; particularly if I need to make a pattern before I even begin; it may take longer. There is only me, a single seamstress, to handle all the orders. If you have a dance troupe placing an order, allow enough time for multiple costumes. I actually sew quicker if all the items are the same; i.e. all members in the troupe want the same style of pants, top, vest, etc.
I will do rush orders, but you'll be charged double my normal rate; $20/HR instead of just $10/HR; if you need an item in less than a week. If you need it sooner than that, we'll discuss if that's even possible. I have a rough idea of how long various items take (see price guide).
